MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 1275 to Type9 clutch
Shameless plug, I'm having a bit of a clearout, this is ideal for a road car but probably won't take the 100+ bhp of a race engine.
Happy to deal direct with anyone here, at well under the ebay price, email mgsmithy on yahoostopcostopuk
The ebay BIN price is fair so any discount would be a bonus.
Not a sale for me now but 2 years ago I'd have snatched your arm off.
A good buy for the purchaser, good luck to them and you.
That's the same clutch as I've been using for the last 12 years and it's still going strong with about 100bhp so someone got a bargain!
David, quick question about the fire extinguisher you have for sale. Would that not be ok for club racing? I thought it was only a recommendation that extinguishers were replaced/serviced?
JP - thanks! I've just read Blue Book section K3 and some of the other references and can indeed find no mention of servicing and validation periods so it looks like you're correct and it's fine for UK racing.
I do most of my racing abroad hence under FIA rules which are far stricter. I'll amend the ebay ad!
If you want one I do have 2 available so would be happy to pass one on at modest cost.
Salt in my wounds, price and longevity. :)
No worries David, I've just bought a new one (needed the whole kit) and Lifeline 'demand' that it is serviced every 2 years by them. So I checked in the blue book only a few weeks ago and thankfully found that it was only a recommendation.
Racing is expensive enough under MSA rules, it must be horrendous under the FIA!
