Mark: I hope the wheelboxes you put in are decent quality. One of mine is a repro part and it gave way in the torrential rain on the way home from midget 50. On close inspection it was confirmed that it was indeed manufactured from material resembling over ripe Brie. So soft that it proved as good as useless... |

<< i am a bit worried about the quality of new ones >> be afraid! I am growing more frustrated generally by shoddy repro parts |

on the 1275 the cable is on the top almost certain that the 1500 is the same Norm |

There was a previous thread on 'self-parking motors'. See if this link works: http://www.british-cars.org/mg-midget-sprite-technical-bbs/newbiewith-unstopable-wipers-20090722092836305.htm My 1500 is a '76 model. Single speed windscreen wipers - and they are self-parking. |

i have worked out that the po has opted to make it twin speed with out parking by fitting twin speed switch and using the parking wire instead of fitting a new wire so will have to add parking wire |
