MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 76 Midget Fuse Box
I recently brought home a 76 midget (USA MODEL)that was partially restored 10 years ago. Actually, it was totally restored, but not put back together. That's my job! Since I did not take it apart and nothing is labeled, this sometimes creates "issues". Right now my first issue is the fuse box. I need to know 1)If the number 1 and 2 on the base of the box is up or down when mounted, and 2) what wires are connected to the box on the right side of it (facing it)? I have a pic of the wires on the left side, but not the right side. This blog is great. Thanking all the contributors .....AL |

The best way to check whether your fuse box is the correct way up is to look at the rear of it. There should be a link between two of the fuses. The linked side should be connected to the red wire from the sidelamp switch, then the wires to the left and right sidelamps are connected to the other ends of the two fuses - one left, one right. |

Al Yep, this blog is great! Found it shortly after I bought my '78 back in June. If you've got a problem, chances are someone here has had it too. Browse the archives when you have a little time...full of great information. Dave |

>>> Yep, this blog is great! Found it shortly after I bought my '78 back in June. <<< Similar story here, but roll the date back to June, 1995. I check this board pretty much daily, and once you run out of questions, you may be able to provide answers as your experience builds. This is a fine resource, and beats the heck out of depending on shop manuals that usually stop one step short of what you really need to know. Cheers, -:G:- |
