MG Midget and Sprite Technical - An Interesting Problem...
Hi everyone, I just refitted my steering column and have come to refit the fascia surrounding it - the part containing the indicator stalk and wiring. However, it looks like there's simply not enough space for it to fit - have I missed something? Can I shift something back or make more room somehow? What's going on?! I've posted a picture with this s you can visualise the problem. Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers! Josh |

Looks like your column is(might be) in too far, but also the boss on the steering wheel can stop you fitting the cowl. I have the same thing with my sprite. I have to pull the steering wheel to romove the cowl. |

Would putting your car the right way up, rather than on its side help? I'll get my coat... |

Undo the bolts holding up the columb and then fit the cowling followed by reinstalling the bolts. |

Heres is a tip...instead of the fiddle screws on the far back side Use a long black zip tie...simple and easy and takes out all the fiddly ...it cowling fits just under the dash so the tie is never seen Prop |
