MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Balancing carbs
Hi Guys I have just spotted this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200280966288&ssPageName=ADME:B:FSEL:GB:1123 and thought it might be useful for SU,s as well Carl |

I own one of these: http://www.carbtune.com/ Mainly because it's brilliant for my 4-carb bike, but also easy to stowaway and makes dual SU tuning a breeze. That ebay thing looks clever though... |

I also have looked at the carbtune but don't you have to modify the inlets to take the tubes for it? You can also get an electronic version http://www.accumate.co.uk/it030002.htm I ended up with the gunson version which has done me a stirling service Shaun |

Shaun, Not tried it on dual SUs yet, just on a dual carb bike and quad carb bike, but apparently it's good for SUs. I'd be alright with modding it on the racer as anything that makes it easier to tune the buggers at a moments notice appeals to me! Rich |

I like the one shaune has, I havnt seen it before, but wow that is cool, I have the old ash tray/cig balancer, but I still find the easist, and fastest method is a 2 foot long piece of thich rubber hose with about 1 in. ID, so easy to hear the tone changes, and alot less fiddly...and not to mention highly accureate,,,(if you got the ears for it.) prop |

Heres an idea... You could probably use the hose trick, then fine tune it and check for accuracy with the electrnic one that has shaune has or even the one that bintcliff is showing. prop |

Bintcliffe - That's the very one I use. And I've had mine for many years. Didn't know you can still get them. Get it if you can. Very accurate and easy to use. |
