MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Banham Frogeye anyone ?
Looks like fun - based on 1981 Mini https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266615831171?hash=item3e138aba83:g:SHAAAOSwLGhlq4Er&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwCLA6%2FdHd35tRmvexdjBD47x17NVcWo2RhsBKzEWno%2FrWRJiPuujoJ%2Bv2%2FKQVFgL6e4qxB3Iwd4L7%2FIYV0J3meLOyNKh%2BxuJWVZWHERi%2FyXaKnxZfJvOEnD%2Bs9dZGXwL16WvIfBbSoyIImYdS3tSyfqcXLDsm%2BzI32cH7SHq%2BUkGlrYW0wmx%2BRm0JNkhWeK9dGCyaJz%2BJilUtOW8pzmxFeUXXE0OyM90fXQ5n13VLtMX4GqHEDkgT%2B6XjYaPSQUQ5w%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9q4xqyoYw |

Never heard of those. I must be missing something. What's the point? 20 years ago, weren't genuine frogs cheap enough? |

The point is anamnesis: it has a bootlid!!! ;) |

What I think a Banham frogeye needs is bigger wheels - lowering as the gap in the wheelarches are huge! Looks like the biggest "ECU" ive ever seen on a small british made car LOL!! |

I've heard thst mounting engines sideways was a common practice with hill climb cars back in the day...or did l just make that up?..Dave |

Guessing there would be a fair amount of understeer too, with the engine that far forward. |

Looks like it has a mix of Sprite and midget 13" wheels. Usually they end up with Mini 12" wheels which make it look awful. It still needs lowering a tad to close up the gaps above the wheel. Rob |

Bootlid is the best bit of that design, I assume the problem is that the mini engine/subframe combination is just too high for the original bonnet line so suspension has to be spaced up. Plus it's FWD! |
