MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Brake master bore size
Can anyone please confirm what the bore size of the Lockheed can-type single line brake master cylinder fitted to 71 midget is please - conflicting opinion on the web...also the pipe fitting...3/8 UNF? Need to understand what I have in order to possibly go up in bore size to accomodate the larger calipers up front. Many thanks as ever |

Oggers GMC151 - should be 3/4" bore. Alternative sizes (Girling): https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/s/brake-clutch-parts/master-slave-cylinders Cheers Mike |

mike Thanks for that. brakes slightly improved but could be better. Merlin does indeed have some suitable alternatives - thanks again. |

I'm sure as a kilted one you'll shop around! Try https://www.jjcraceandrally.com/race/brake-master-cylinders-accessories and worth giving these people a call, too. http://www.performancebraking.com/products/ I recently bought some rather expensive m/cyl rebuild kits and when they arrived they were in PB packaging! |
