MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Brake Servo
Hi Guys and gals, Do any of your have pictures/advice (and not the "don't do it" advice) for installing a powertune brake servo in a 1975 RHD midget. I'm unsure of where to mount it and get the correct orientations etc. Thanks, Bal |

Bal, get a copy of Daniels book it's all in there. Make sure you get the servo mounting bracket & bolt that to the spare pedal cover. I also used a one way valve to the inlet manifold. |

Bal, I recently fitted one to my car - I think its well worth while - but I know not all agree. A couple of pics attached. It is quite a tight fit - i currently have a large air filter and had to mount a little further up towards the bulkead than Brad suggested - one fixing bolt used an existing threaded insert for lefthand drive peddle box. I also have a one way valve fitted on my inlet manifold. Routing the pipes needs care to ensure out of harms way and well secured with brackets - i used copper and they were 1.4metres long (yours may vary). I am in Clevedon, N Somerset where are you in Somerset ? - if you want to see my installation you are welcome. 01275 872585 Richard. |
