MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Car leaning/bad ride
Hey guys. Need your help. I noticed my car leaning favorably on the drivers side and I was experiencing not so great of a ride over bumps. When I push down on the front fender of the drivers side, it moved very little. The passenger side moves freely and recovers from the bounce quickly. So, I assumed a frozen lever shock even though it had only 1000 miles since it was rebuilt. I removed the shock and sent it to Apple. Apple acutally rebuilt the shock at no charge. Tonight I reinstalled the shock but guess what....same problem. It still leans. I can also push down on the front fender drivers side and it will move about a half an inch and stay in the position. I can lift it up and it will raise a half an inch and stay. No spring like action. I have no clue what to do next. I actually had a thought that maybe there is nothing wrong with the drivers side and my problem is in the passenger side? Thanks in advance. JAM |

Frozen rear shock on opposite corner? |

I had both front shocks freeze after driving the first few miles of a 1,200 mile trip. It was a very unpleasant ride to say the least but the shocks would simply not budge at all. On another occasion, I tried Apple shocks and these didn't last long. One started leaking while the other developed lots of play. Even new units through Moss are lot particularly reliable. |

You might want to check your lower wishbone for binding For the rears Just disconnect the shocks and repeat the bounce test. Carl |
