MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Castrol 'Synthetic' GT-LMA Brake Fluid
Has anyone used Castrol's new 'Synthetic' GT-LMA brake fluid, and if so, is it compatible with the older GT-LMA product? Regards, Larry C. '69 midget |

Larry, I think that question is best directed to Castrol themselves. Nobody here in the right mind would answer that question only to perhaps find at a later stage (when perhaps its too late.... ), they were wrong.... :-( Mark. |

Mark, I sent an e-mail to the Castrol experts yesterday concerning this, and I'm waiting for a reply which will probably be on Monday. Interestingly, the label reads, "You may notice a slight odor, and colour difference in Castrol GT-LMA due to the new formula", and that's it. A note about compatability would have been nice. By the way, I never noticed a colour (clear), or odor (they've got to be kidding) in the old? From what I understand it is compatable with the old, and Castrol has been looking to raise the boiling point? Regards, Larry C. '69 Midget |
