MG Midget and Sprite Technical - changing from silicone to Dot 4

I am changing from silicone to Dot 4. I replaced all the rubbers. With what can I flush the system to get rid of the silicone?

LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of cheapo Dot 4!

Fully drain the system first, then keep flushing until you see no silicone floating on top of the fluid coming out of the bleeds.

Then bleed fully again.

If you have silicone contamination of Dot 4 you will know because you will not be able to get a firm pedal.

Just use Dot 4?

Bleed till all the silicone bubbles are gone.

Thank You,
After 10 years, and I changed the silicone fluid every 2 years, there was a dark sludge in the lower parts of the master cylinder. I litre of dot 4 was €6,--. So there is no problem flushing the system after blowing the tubes with pressed air.

I think that after 10 years, any master cylinder is going to have some black gunge in the bottom, regardless of which type of fluid you used.

That black is made up of microscopic bits of rubber / carbon black that has liberated from the seals and often does not go away even after flushing.

I am also switching from dot5 to dot4. I have decided to just replace everything since it kind of needs it anyway (including the fuel lines). I about 3/4 of the way finished. Right now my car can't stop (brakes not finished) and it can't go (clutch master cylinder not in yet). ;)
