MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Cheap exhaust pipe?
My wife brought me a new desk for the office back from Ikea M5/6 junction on Saturday. She said it would be perfect if I chopped ~2" from the wooden legs. I was happy to have avoided a trip to Ikea, and so was ready with the B&D workmate and wood saw. However, the legs were steel tube, so I was in for a little more effort. As the perspiration appeared during the 3rd leg (as it were), it occurred to me: - these legs are just under 2" dia - good quality steel, painted black - sections are ~27" long - and £2 each ... perfect for midget exhaust pipe replacement/repairs. The only downside I can see if you need to collect them from Ikea... but you could always send the wife/other. I can find out the p/n if anyone is interested - the legs are sold separately. I have a pic on my camera I could extract. Only thing now is... would I convert my desk to 3 legs if I needed a repair piece? A |

You could always replace one leg of the table with the rusted out section removed from the Midget. Sort of recycled. Would she notice? |

Are you sure it wasn't just the result of dehydration ... - after all - who would let their wife visit Ikea alone ...??????? |
