MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Crazy acylic
A new (to me) tip found on another forum for dealing with hairline crazing in acrylic badges and the like. Soak them for 24 hours in olive oil! Amazingly, it works, and really well! The centre horn push for my Sprite steering wheel was a mass of tiny cracks and flaws that caught the light. And they have now all gone! I wonder how long it lasts for. |

Blimey. That's a good one. New to me as well. |

I guess for Frogeyes these days has to be Extra Virgin olive oil, for other models second and onward pressings will be acceptable? Great tip! Thanks Guy. Cheers Mike What do we use balsamic vinegar for? |

Will it work if I dunk my whole bodyshell into olive oil? :-) |

Forget the bodyshell - i'm trying my body - needs a full restoration ! Getting rid of all the cracks would be a start ! R |

Has anyone found an advert claiming " poor quality, second rate olive oil" And what is this "Extra Virgin"? Surely you are either virgin or are not. Why the qualified "extra" version? |
