MG Midget and Sprite Technical - disc back plates
Hi all , i am going to fit midget disc braking to an A35 that i am restoring , ( i aim to have a midget with a roof)sort of? as i have an MGA without one for the summer! do you still bother with the stone guard back plates or not ?? any tips on this conversion ,also have midget rear back plates, will the standard M/cylinder be man enough??? Colin, I'm happily driving around without back plates for quite a while now, no problems so far. |

hi onno, the M/C is standard A 35 , still on the car & appears to be working & operating the rear rod /hdraulic rears, is this the same as the first Sprite? my car is 1958 - 950cc,you have confirmed my thoughts on the back plates , i find on the MGA you are often picking up stones, not good.
