MG Midget and Sprite Technical - DIZZY CAP
Hi All will this dizzy cap fit onto my 24D dizzy with 90 degree leads or will it hi the steering gear. If not is there another alternative so I can use the more common push fit HT leads. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/25D-Lucas-Distributor-cap-MGB-top-entry-GDC103-DDB106-/120547415198?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c112f949e Thanks Ian |

Prop, there have been push on caps for ages. However, the side entry is needed to clear the steering column on a RHD car. |

Tervor I havent come across any,,, put they sure would be a welcome addition instead of the ol screw spike...luckly im going a malloery with high resistance spark plug wires from accel...so not an issue for me Its really close, if you have the same body work for the bulk head as we do just on the oppiste side for the steering column attachment it might clear, but trevors right if it was a side entry it wouldnt be an issue....if you cant find one thats side entry id be tempted at that price to buy it and see if I could make it work, for the advantages to be had, its worth a 5-er to at least try, but then agian thats me "Prop" talking. OH - does that mean you don't have them over there and I should bring a supply with me? The same seller has a midget version further down if that one isn't the right one by the way. |
