MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Door Striker Plates and the like
Has anyone come up with a good solution to refurb the door striker plate finish, or for that matter, any of the other items on a 72 midget which have the same shiny yellow anodised look. Thanks in advance. Si |

Frost do a kit for applying that yellow passivated finish by electrolysis. Don't know how well it works though. Have a look at their web site. |

A local metalcoating specialist was going to do this for me only to be cost effective I needed at least half a dozen plates. At the next MG meeting someone is donating me a couple of their unused ones which I'll modify before submitting a job lot. By this time it's possible the specialist will have recovered from a major fire at their business... (heard the explosions!) |

electro-plating depending on the type of plating depends on the colour. cheap and it looks good without all that MGOC chrome christmas tree looking crap |
