MG Midget and Sprite Technical - electric fuel pump... revive from the dead
Freakin ethanol... My electric fuel pump has been just raped by the fuel, I got as much of the white crystal powder residue out of the pump but the rubber seals inside look toast, ive got it soaking in denatured alcohol... so im hoping that will bring it back Id like to soak the pump in some kind of lube to recondion the rubber componets But im not sure what would be a good lube would be a good combination Im thinking this maybe the end of the road for this pump Thanks The pump is an off the shelf moroso ...and no I cant find a 1-3 psi pump from the local usual suspects and will take im sure at least a week to come thur the mail, so id like to use this pump in the near term till I can rebuild my old SU mechanical points pump Prop |

Too late for KY jelly as your already screwed up. Nothing I know will rejuvenate old rubber parts. I just purchased a low pressure electric pump from Oreillys for around $40.00. Works perfect if you are not into originality. Sandy |

Why don't you just get the SU pump running? Forget the other pump(s). |

Lawerance... Thats the plan, I just havnt gotten the time to tear it apart... well forgotten to but thats the genral plan Sandy... Yes I tried the local suspects... but no low pressure pumps, they can order 1 and be in in next week... but im wanting to fire the midget up now...but I.may go ahead and order.1 it will take 100 weeks to rebuild my old SU pump Id like to limp the current one along ive got till I can get parts ordered for the SU and rebuild it at my pleasure.
