MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Engine paint shade
I stupidilly used paint thinners to clean the front of the sump to find where oil was leaking from and it has stripped a patch of green paint. I don't want to pay 25 pounds for a tin and then only use two brush fulls so can anyone let me know the shade of green and I can then look for a cheapo aerosol. Jan T |

Jan What year is your car? IIRC it is a 1970s 1275 midget, so I think it is the dark green for post-1962 cars: (the supplier below stocks the light green for pre 1962 cars): https://www.somerfordmini.co.uk/paint-engine-brush-on-dark-green-post-62-500ml https://www.somerfordmini.co.uk/paint-engine-aerosol-dark-green-post-62-400ml https://www.somerfordmini.co.uk search ‘paint engine’ Tins are not much more than a spray can unfortunately.
