MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Exhaust

Further to many recent mechanical improvements, I am looking to finish it off with a nice sporty sounding exhaust - leaving manifold and in situ. Seen a few on Mini sites, but not sure if they will fit...but many on MGOC. Any recommendations for a 73 RWA from you gents much appreciated...

Ditch the manifold that is where the power gain is to be made!

Go for a complete maniflow system or look at magicmidget.co.uk
Kim will always help you out
Onno K

Onno is spot on.
Ditch the cast manifold and get an LCB and an RC 40 silencer from Kim at Magic Midget - you'll be very pleasantly surprised at the noise an A series can make, deep and rumbly!

when I got my ('73) car it had an unknown s/s LCB (long centre branch) already fitted to a standard size single 'centre' s/s pipe and single s/s rear box, I swapped to a Mainiflow LCB with (now custom) standard sized 'centre' s/s pipe and again standard size standard single s/s rear box - what a difference the Maniflow manifold made, much better

I didn't get the present system from Kim Dear but having dealt with him for my road springs I now wished I'd got the exhaust from him too - http://magicmidget.co.uk/

Like Onno and the others say, dump the manifold and get a 4-2-1 manifold
I had Peco before but then went the Maniflow route, was very pleased with it.
