MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Feels like fuel starvation/fuel leak?
It may be coincidental but since my very very vigerous driving last weekend. The engine feels like it is experiencing a slight bit of fuel starvation when I fist excelerate, it's only for a second but it's definitly present. There is the slightest hesitency when I first pull away and I also notice that the revs seem a bit less when I blip the throttle on double declutching. It may be my imagination but I also think that I'm getting the occasional whiff of petrol which seems unusual for my car. I'm wondering if I have a small fuel or air leak or if the carb isn't filling up as quickly. It's hard to explain in words. With the ignition on but the engine off, I'm not getting any extra clicking from the fuel pump to indicate a leak. Spec is 1330cc quite high compression on a hif44. 123 dizzy. |

Dashpots need topping up? Air-filter bodies on upside down? A |

Thanks Anthony, Dashpot full (or should be as it was filled two weeks ago). Airfilter correct way up but I'll check that all bolts are in and it hasn't slipped. |
