MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Filter King adjustment

I have a Wever 45 fed by a Facet pump. In between is a filter king fuel regulator.
The adjustment screw has been messed with (not by me!)
I have no access to a fuel pressure guage.
Tell me, to increase fuel delivery, do I turn it clockwise or anticlickwise?
I think I'm getting some fuel starvation, I want to move it & test it.
How sensitive is it, ie 1/2 a turn, a ful turn at a time?
thanks

To increase pressure turn the screw clockwise and be sure to lock again with lock nut. A Weber should NOT need more than 3.5 psi.

Oh, turn it only less than a quarter of a turn at a time!

what's the Facet rated at? If it's a lower-pressure model then just replace the FK with a simple inline filter temporarily... or permanently if it runs OK afterwards.

When I was having problems with carb flooding I tested the pressure from the SU fuel pump by attaching a length of plastic tube to the fuel line and attaching it high up in the garage roof. That way I could tell how much head of fuel the pump could pump and therefore what the output pressure was. I put in a Filter King and did the same on the output to see exactly what the regulated pressure was. I found the pressure from the pump was twice what the carbs were designed for.

OK, I reset back to where it was and turned a quarter of a turn at a time clockwise.
I got improvements right away, ie no stuttering on takeoff & hard cornering but I was still getting missfiring on high speed cruising.

Turned it up (clockwise) another 1/2 turn, big improvement but not perfect.
How would I know if I go too far? I want to test a little more but scared to bugger it up!
(BTW, high pressure Facet pump)

Too far and your carb leaks!
