MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Free crypton tuner. Need help

I was given a free Crypton 322 Motormaster tuning kit by one of my pals who has sold his 924 and bought a modern Merc (55SL) instead.
Problem is, it hasn't been used for 10 years and there is no life from the printer. I can't find a manual on the internet. Anyone ever used one or know where I might find one? Google wasn't much help.
Fantastic strobe light with strong light and much, much less scatter of the pulse than the gunson strobe I bought. It was easy to set up the dwell but the timing light seems to have adjustable delay that doesn't tie in with the timing marks (if you know what I mean)

Steep learning curve ahead!

Rob. Any chance for a photo? I have a Sun Engine Analyzer, but it does not have a printer associated with it. Snap On, which purchased the Sun company many years ago, makes (or sells) some engine analyzers having printers. It may be that the same company is making both models and using different labels on them. "Badge engineering" is found in things other than "Spridgets".

Can you provide anymore info about the printer, is it power from the sun unit, mains powered, serial, parallel etc.

Les, I used to have a Sun 1212 Diagnostic tuner which I ran in conjuntion with a Clayton 200 BHP water braked Dyno. Together they were great but I have to say, for all I used it, I found I didn't use the printer very much.

Sorry for the slow reply. I broke my 757 at Palma airport using airport transfers tunbridge wells and had to spend a while in a hotel whilst they stuck a new noseleg in.

The Crypton is the same as the one being sold in the Ebay auction mentioned above except that one doesn't have the optional printer with it. I was wondering if there might be any websites that go into depth about what to look for with all this alchemists' magic! I guess I can survive without the printout but any good links would be helpful. I found the calibration potentiometers under a cover plate but need to get some advice on how to set it up corectly. Pics etc to follow.

Try Asking Jeeves or Yahoo! if Google cant help you (I'd be surprised if Google cannot help if you refined the search paramenter, it isnt always what you ask its the way that you ask it with ol'Google-eyes)


Try asking the buyer of the eBay one if you can buy access to his manuals if there's nowt else to do

If he is local to me I'll scan any relevant pages for you
