MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Fuel Gauge is dead
My fuel gage is dead. After my wiring loom melted down from a short in the headlight circuit to the body. I had a replacement front loom made. Now my Fuel Gauge doesn't work. I get a strange pulsating current from the Green/Yellow wire and nothing from the Green/Black wire. When I earth the Green/Black wire the Gauge swings to full. I have assumed my Voltage Stabiliser box for the Gauge has failed. Am I on the right track? |

It sounds like the gauge and the stabiliser are working as intended. You either have a break in the wiring between the gauge and the tank sender, or the sender is faulty. Where are you earthing the green/black wire? |

I am earthing the Green/Black wire at the back of the Gauge. |

Check the plugs for the rear loom behind the RHS kick panel. |
