MG Midget and Sprite Technical - fuel injection -1275
looking at the Specialist Components website i notice they do a kit which i wondered if anyone has any experience with it. I appreciate that some will shudder at replacing the carbs, but some like me may also be open minded to it. Anyone ?? |

In the mid-noughties there was an awful lot of chat about this. Bob Tooke did it very successfully to his 1500, and others were trying on 1275s. For example:- https://tinyurl.com/yab8w6e2 Haven't heard from Bob for a few years, or Toby, though I saw them both at Le Mans three years ago. |

What benefit are you seeking in considering the swap? |

I seem to recall a car sos episode that they put fuel injection on a triumph herald so dont see why not kits for 1275 mini is available. https://www.classicfuelinjection.co.uk/minifuelinjectionconversion.htm |

I saw that episode Mark, looked a pretty neat install to me. Daniel. i was just curious really, the specialist components kit looks comprehensive. I don't have any particular issue with running carbs, it just seems to be something work looking at for the long term. I have both a mini and a midget, and could be tempted to spend on either a trick head etc, or going EFI, and seeing experimenting with that. Thanks for the Link Nick, will have a nosey. |
