MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Goodridge brake line
Hello, I have a Goodridge Kit for my midget MKI (4 drums). The diameter is smaller than the standard flexibles. Is it normal? Laurent |

The ones I fitted to my 1500 were much smaller daimeter than the originals but they work OK. |

It's not the outside diameter that's important it's the ID. Usually brake lines are made with -3 AN line that is 3/16" in diameter inside. Some use -4 which is 1/4" ID. The braided stainless over teflon line is smaller OD because it doesn't take as much material to give even greater burst strength than the reinforced rubber lines. I have it throughout my car and haven't had any problems in over 10 years. It's a bit expensive compared to the rubber hoses, but it lasts forever and gives a great pedal feel so well worth the investment. |

I agree with everything bill said, its so worth the pentance extra....esp. if you get them off ebay...Also they displace heat better then rubber during those aug. dog days Prop |
