MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Green or Green w/ White for voltmeter

I want to install my new voltmeter to a switched/ fused power source.
I've heard about such gauges being jumpy if not wired correctly, so I'm looking for advice on where to power from.

Should be Green or Light Green???

Green.

Yup, green.

"I've heard about such gauges being jumpy if not wired correctly" - That would be the people that wire them to green w/ white - that is one of the indicator circuits :-D

Wiring to green w/ light green will give a good steady voltage... at 10 v. This is the regulated 10 v feed for the fuel gauge.

So yes, plain green, switched, fused battery voltage.

The purple radio wire works good also...make sure its a keyed power source so it wont stay on while the engine is off

White gauge wire to power source and black to metal chassis for the ground then just splice the light into the gauge light wire loom...that way it will light and turn off with the other gauge lights
