MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Guy/ Nigel pics of austin 7 special

Hi Guy/Nigel, some pics of my special still lots to do long term project, trouble is seem to be working on the midget all the time, could do with a bigger Garage don't like to leave Midget outside after it's nice paint job, so tight for space, could do with a friendly neighbour who has an empty garage, they seem to fill them up with bikes, furniture, and washing M/C's
A well I'll struggle on, getting Midget ready for national Drive-it-day on Sunday 17th. hope you guys will all be out, my car club TVME Romsey are having a run ending at the Bat and Ball Braemer(spelling may not be right) nr. Fordingbridge Hants.

not sure if I'm the Nigel you mean as I'm far too young to know about Sevens (unless they're Caterfields)

I have spent the afternoon in a 30s style copy of the specials on a club tour, great fun

That certainly is in project phase

Lovely colour on the Midget
Nigel Atkins

Nice!
Thought about a 7 or OHC minor but finaly bit the bullet and bought a D-type mg.
Might take a few years to finish though ;)

Yeh Nigel it's Brooklands Green, a bit lighter than I wanted, but everyone seems to comment on it, so not too bad, here is a better pic.
I think it was guy who was interested in the Seven special.

cheers Jack.

Yes, it was me.
From what I can see of yours it is in aluminium panelling and - "has potential". Not unlike my Cambridge which was was similar shape - Aluminium on an ash frame. Flat back with full width slab tank like the early MGs, bonnet held down with two leather straps, cut away sides rather than doors, long swept wings at the front and cycle guards at the back.
Guy

Ye Guy, I like the idea of the slab tank, this one already has a tank fitted, but the slab tanks look the business, but lots of work to do on it, don't hold your breath.

cheers jack.
Jack New Forest

Slab tanks are for posers ;P
just saying that because my D has a built in one

Though if you are more in to specials this would be more your cup of tea
PA/B Q inspired racer.
