MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Hazard Lights Flashing Too Fast

I have a 1500 midget but the hazzard lights flash so fast that you can hardly see them working. The indicators are ok. Has anyone got any ideas?

Sounds like a faulty flasher unit. Is it the correct (4-way) hazard flasher that's fitted and not the (2-way) indicator flasher unit?

I dont know what sort of flasher unit it is. How would I find out? Would this not make the indicators flash to fast as well?

You have two separate flasher units, one for the indicators and one for the hazards.

A quick way to see if you have the wrong hazard flasher...disconnect the wires to both rear indicators in the boot and see if the front indicators flash at the correct speed when you use the hazard switch.

Has this just happened? Have you had the car long?
Have you done any work on the electrics?
