MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Hood for 1964-66 query
My mk 2 midget 64-66 has never had a hood in my ownership and quite fancy the idea . The car has a full Aleybar roll cage does anyone know if it will fit over the cage or at least the rear bar. If anyone can help me with some measurements that would help too , thanks |

Hi Mike, I'll be playing with my 1965 Sprite again at the weekend - a newly rebuilt engine (by me) that has wierdly low oil pressure - which I cannot fathom. I'll try and take some photos and measurements of the frame up and post them Malc |

Thanks Malc probably clearance under the main hoop behind your head , maybe from the rear bulkhead top surface and how far it protrudes into the cockpit from the upright tube would be a start . Good luck with the oil pressure. Tracing an elusive miss fire for me at the weekend. |

Hello, Mike. I have a Mk2 Midget with a frontline roll-over bar. The soft top and hardtops fit without any problem and yours should fit too, as long as the Alleybar was made for a Mk2. |

Thanks for that , a hardtop definitely fits so I am hopeful about the hood frame I’ll just have to look out for one now . |
