MG Midget and Sprite Technical - How do you fit MG Metro vented discs
Following on from another thread its been mentioned you can fit MG Metro Turbo vented discs and calipers to a Sprite. How easy is it? Also heard about fitting Ford RS MK4 escort turbo vented discs , anybody know anything about this. |

Not sure about fitting them but to help you to search some out you don't need Metro Turbo brakes, all Metros after around 1985 and pre K series had vented discs I think. |

Metro turbo discs were 212mm if I remember and Ford RS turbo are 260mm so not really compatible. Our kits use the Escort Mk3 turbo 260mm discs but they are on our own hubs . The fitting is totally different to the midget as the Ford disc fits over the hub rather than to the back of it. |

There was an item in MASC magazine about 3 years ago on how to fit Metro calipers. Matt (Tarquin) who used to post here regularly had fitted them and provided a write up and photos. |
