MG Midget and Sprite Technical - HS2 carb linkage
I just got my carbs back. Rebuilt and polished w/ new bushings. Unfortunatly I didn't take any photos, and I'm a little confused. The 3 things I need to know are: the top hole for the middle spring, does it attach to the plate in the larger likage? How does this plate orient to the carbs? I have one longer spring in addition to the three that attach to the bottom of the heat sheild. A photo would help. Thanks, Phil "1275 - 1972 midget w/ stock HS2's" |

Hey Phil, I wish i could fly down, but Life is hard this week, I still dont know If Im going to make st. louis with the midget...up in the air. The carbs LOOK Awome, the middle spring hooks up to the center linkage just under the throttle cable, the 4th spring hooks in the heatshield on the 1st spring and goes to the choke linkage on the front carb. Ive found to run the throttle cable to the pedal, and figure where it spoosed to be tightened down at the linkage, mark the cable and then disconnect from the gas peddle, and attach the cable to the carb linkage, then re-attach to the gas peddle...its a hole lot easier for me. heres a good source...and there are many others...just google Mg Midget 1275 carb adjustment, copy it out read it several times, and have a go at it, trust me,,,,yo got all the skills you need to set them up Prop...flying, Its just a fad....Prop |
