MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Indicators
Ref my posting of 27th July I replaced the indicator unit as suggested, and then relocated the unit to the cockpit side of the bulkhead but found it was still too quiet. I then added the Maplin buzzer FK82, which I tie wrapped to the speedo cable, and connected as described in the Safety Fast article and now its audible. Thanks for all the suggestions etc |

Do you have or could you reproduce the article please? Thanks Gary |

I did the same mod as well. For some reason I found it easier to do then to buy a new indicator switch which could self cancel. I can post the data later today if necessary. Roly |

Yes please. As I now have for pricely sum of £1.99, an FK82 buzzer sitting on my desk. That's the problem with having a branch of Maplins 50 yeards from my office. |

Why go for just a buzzer. Someone must sell Macaw Squawks, Hyena Laughs or Mating Elephant trumpeting |

Gary, Must be the easiest mod to improve a midget. Safety Fast article attached hopefully! Doug |

Oh Blimey that is easy. Let's see if I can muck it up. |

Many thanks, The buzzer is installed and working fine (although it's a very naff sound in my opinion). The wiring in my car was obviously put in by a baboon who used whatever wire he had laying around at the time. The wire to B is GREEN!, the wire from N is GREEN and the wire to the dash light is.......you guessed it, GREEN. luckily my flasher unit has a schematic on the side. |
