MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Inline fuel filter 1500?

Hi, Does anyone have any pictures of how they have fitted an inline fuel filter to a 1500 midget? I can't see how I can fit one with solid fuel lines?
Thanks

Mine is between the hard line and the carb. This was a glass filter that has been replaced because I couldn't get it to stop leaking. I now have a clear plastic one.

I've actually fitted two filters to my 1500. As you know, there's a hard line running from the tank up into the rear of the engine bay, with a rubber hose from there to the filter inlet. I have the first filter located just before the pump, and a second filter just before the carb. I also used the clear types, so I could see at a glance what my fuel flow was like if diagnosing running problems.

not that my 78 with a 1275cc is much different on fuel delivery systems other then I have an electrical pump instead of a cam driven pump but you could put a filter anywhere in the fuel system, I am running two but I am proboly going to pull one because I replaced the tank and now its clean. I would put one after the pump and while you are at it you can think about running a fuel cooler, I built one from a piece of 1/4" copper tubing ran infront of the radioator to keep the fuel from getting to hot before it enters the carb/carbs to get better atomization.

Kevin,

I replaced the hard line from the pump to the carbs with a rubber hose routed behind the battery to reduce the chance of vapor lock and put a filter inline near the brake master cylinder. Of course, my car is LHD so your brakes won't be here, but you get the idea.
