MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Leaf spring lowering block
Hi, If anyone has Sprite/midget lowering block they don't want and will sell me, can they e-mail me please. I just need one without the U bolts or a pair without the U bolts. Thanks. |

Daniel, guess you have tried all the usual sources: Peter May, Magic Midget etc? |

Do the Morris Minor ones fit ? Did I machine down some for you a while back ? Can’t remember- age ! R. |

Hi Daniel, they come on various thicknesses - what size do you want? |

I just wanted one or maybe a pair to experiment with. Yes, Richard, you did machine down a pair for me to half an inch. It was most likely more than a year ago.
The reason I ask is that having just fitted new leaf springs on my Sprite the ride height is not the same on both sides. The difference isn't much but there was no difference with the old springs. Tomorrow the low side spring is coming out so I can have a look at it. I do have a set of old springs as well as the pair just removed and might have a pair rebuilt. So the lowering block request is to enable me to adjust the ride height to exactly what I want, even from side to side. I once had, and ruined, a pair of very thin lowering blocks from a Wolseley 1500 axle that no-one ever seems to have come across apart from me. I'm interested in what sizes you have David. |

Daniel I am not sure from reading the parts list, https://longbridgemotorspares.co.uk/pdf/catalogue%20wolseley.pdf but you might be able to buy the Wolsley 1500 component you mention but perhaps worth asking? |
