MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Lowered Rear Springs
Hi Guys I have got the cosworth project back this week from the body shop (no progress in nearly a year ! so have gone and got to try another) Its sitting too high at the rear, bespoke set up with Anglia rear axle, looks like I need to use a combination of lowered springs and lowering blocks. I have seen some lowered rear springs from magic midget , I just wondered if anyone else had used them ? or any others thanks Andy |

On my old racer, I couldn't get it low enough by rearching the springs and was also chasing a turn-in understeer problem so along with the rearched springs,I removed the front spring mounts from the body and extended them as far as I could to get the front of the spring as high as possible-long time ago but I think it was about 40-45mm higher This reduced the original downwards at the front mounting of the spring to almost level and lowered the car 25-30mm The difference in handling feel was huge- It actually went where you pointed it, none of the old,I think it might turn in soon Might be worth thinking about willy |
