MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Lucas Smoke Kit
Don't know if this has been posted before, it popped up on the Fullfate range rover forum so I thought I would post it here, as a relevant tool for Frogs and Midges with Lucas parts and wiring. https://www.whereisbobl.com/tiger/smoke.html |

Surely a must have for everyone's emergency repair kit, just in case smoke escapes when you're away from home? Thanks for posting 🙃! |

Often accompanied by the replacement fuse guide such as here https://www.mez.co.uk/lucas.html . I haven't seen the Haynes humour guide (top of page) before so will have to read that later. |

I don’t really get this negativity towards Lucas wiring and equipment. It seems like it’s been around for years in the USA but it wasn’t something I remember being mentioned back in the day on the right side of the pond. All I remember being talked about was Italian wiring by Magnetti Marelli! I’ve had experience of that when one headlight went off when driving my Lancia on a dark road only to be followed by the other a minute later! Pulled over and wiggled a few wires and back on they came!
I seem to remember the wiring on my 1960’s American Fords wasn’t great either, Autolite I think. |
