There is a section for 11/1300 models. It doesn't appear in the subject list, as there hasn't been a post for a long time. However, you can select it from the 'jump to' drop-down list.

That's a fabulous offer, well done Art (unfortunately 40 years too late for me).
Nigel Atkins

Same for me, Nigel. I had mine in 1980.

1972 Austin 4 door 1100.
went to Austria with it.
Went over a gravelled mountain road, not sure where to but on returning along a proper tarmac road we came to a manned border post and realised we were entering Austria from Italy! Took a bit of explaining to the police/ border guards as our passports were back at the hotel, but being Italian, after initial excitement they just shrugged and let us through.

Girlfriend later wife had a 1300GT in 1978 sold it for a RWA midget!

Good memories as I did a large proportion of my first 200K miles in 1100s and 1300s. That's when I learnt that not all cars that appear to be the same are the same. I used company pool cars, B reg to K reg, quite a lot and owned my own 1100 (H reg). Engine wise the best one was an F reg 1300 that just wanted to rev, IIRC, c90MPH indicated in 3rd gear. I remember a lovely light brown exhaust after that run. I loved the smooth ride. Sad about the rust but most makes suffered the same.

Chap a couple of roads from me has an 1100/1300 which lives outside. Covered in a tarpaulin for the winter currently. Never had one myself.

Schoolfriend's dad had one. One day we accidentally broke a rear lens cover whilst parked at his house. At the time my oldest brother worked at a local garage and they happened to have one so we changed it before the friend's dad got back. Imagine how long that would take on a modern today (and the cost...)

My first car was a 69 MG1300 donated by a neighbour when it needed a bit of welding and an idler gear repair. Got lots of stories attached to that car and when I got the chance of another one I took it.. well be rude not to.

I still have it but unfortunately it's back in the queue for more bodywork! I've pickup a two door shell and just about every external panel to do a ground up job on it.

However, back on topic, I also have my own WSM or I would take you up on your kind offer.

Best of....
