MG Midget and Sprite Technical - mgtf seats
just got some mgtf seats to fit and I have been reading the archives and I know you have to swap the sides to get them to fit, but it puts the adjuster lever on the side nearest the door sils but on looking at the way the backs are attached I was wondering if you can just switch the backs over leaving the adjuster on the tunnel side anyone done this . |

I wonder, are MGTF seats different to MGF seats? Mine are MGF seats and I swapped them over so as to get the adjusters against the tunnel, where they can be reached! |

I think they are the same just tried and the backs can be swapped over. |

Pretty sure I just swapped the whole seats over. |

Just a comment, I did this several years ago, cant remember if MGF or TF seats. I removed the belt tensioner and some metal work and bolted the seats to a new flat bar. I then drilled this bar to use the original holes in the floor. Although I am only 5' 8" I find I do not get much support under my thighs and will, at some point, put an inch or two of packing under the bar to raise the height of the seat squab. I found it a great improvement on the original seats which I have retained. Colin |
