MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Midget 1098 Flywheel Trouble
Hi I have a 1098 engine (no 8G150R) it is a goldseal replacement engine. I need a flywheel for it but cannot seem to get the right one. I have ordered 2 for a 1098 midget and theyre both the same but both will not fit flush to the end of the crank on my engine as the hole in the middle of the flywheel is to small to clear the lip. The middle hole on the 2 I have are both 4cm in diameter, but I need one that has a hole of approx 5cm (2"), Or does anyone have one I can buy/swap. Please Help!!! Thanks Simon |

two sorts of 1098 engines, early ones with 1 3/4" mains, and later ones with 2" mains, engine # of latter starts 10CC. Which do you have? If late type then flywheel for sale here, several ads down left hand side... http://www.mgcars.org.uk/midgetspriteclub/MascNew/SalesWants.shtml |

Simon I have a flywheel from the later 10cc engine if you are interested. I will measure the hole later to confirm its size. Les |
