MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Midget 1500 Gearbox bushes

Hi

The rear 'spool' bushes on my 1500 midget need replaced.

I have not quite got under the car sufficiently to see them, but they seem very hard to get at.

I presume it should be possible to replace these without removing the engine and gearbox - am I right?

Any guidance as to how to replace these would be appreciated.
