MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Midget Mk II Door card help
I am restoring my MkII midget and have come to the stage of putting the door cards back on the door. How are these fitted with the metal inserts? Are the inserts supposed to be covered with black vinyl. I bought the car as boxes of bits and so didn't see how they originally fitted. Thanks. |

yes the metal inserts are vinyl covered, and they fit with the concave side showing. |

Hi David. Thanks ever so much. I had a look in TH's Original Sprite & Midget book but the photos weren't detailed enough. Now I have my answer. Thanks. Neil |

I might have a clue to this one. My panels have little screws that look like they were replaced when the car was stripped as they are in the holes in the panel to prevent them being lost (I guess) |

I need 2 of these inserts mine are missing :( Does anybody have some they are willing to part with? I thought they were just flat bits of steel, my plan was to buy some ally sheet and cut them from that. But it seems there is a bit more to them. Thanks Ian. |
