MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Mini MPI exhaust manifold in Midget

Hi all, anyone tried fitting a late Mini MPI exhaust manifold to a midget? The cast iron LCB like manifold that ends with two pipes on a cast flange?

I was considering trying it and getting the mating part but altering the down-pipes to RWD layout.

I don't want to waste my money if it won't work or won't fit under the carbs.

Morris Ital had a similar arrangement.

Pipes would be oriented the correct way, but probably harder to come by.
