MG Midget and Sprite Technical - MINISPARES HIF MANIFOLD
Has anyone fitted the Minispares HIF manifold from David Manners with success? Just spoke to John there, who said that the latest manifold has been made to fit both the Mini and midget. It's only £31 plus vat. Someone did post a picture, but I can't find it. Cheers John |

John It was me who posted picture, John from manners has told me it is modified to fit a midget and I believe him, if it doesn't fit just take it back as it is not a special order item. If you can hang on my brother will soon have his in place (3-4 weeks)and I can then confirm it fits. £35 + vat !!! you should have it fitted by now. |

I have just fitted one with a HIF44. So far it looks ok. Had a few issues with clearance but the lads on here helped with suggestions. Wedge the spacer, file down the damper top or get the flat topped one - part no LZX1389 and saw/grind a few mm off the piston and dashpot (you will have to shorten the damper accordingly too, so I am told). I will be posting a picture soon. Dave |

That's not really ok then! I was hoping the Minispares one would fit with no other mods required. :-( Cheers John |
