MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Minisport manifold
Anyone tried fitting a Minisport manifold/HIF44 on a 1275? |

So that looks like a "no" then! |

Hi Graeme, I haven't but I'm sure this has come up before. Something to get you started... http://www.british-cars.org/mg-midget-sprite-technical-bbs/hif44-201107071453066366.htm http://www.british-cars.net/mg-midget-sprite-technical-bbs/hif44-problems-2008041217025510557.htm Cheers, Malcolm |

Graeme I had a Minisport and a Titan so I set up a series of angle/distance checks in the workshop to compare both of them against the original 1 1/4's and posted on the bbs - but as usual I can't find it now !! The Minisport was higher and I seem to remember it would have hit the bonnet if other measures were not take. Its worth watching evil bay as they do regularly come up. I've an HIF6 on a Titan with deep K&N + short ram pipe inside and its well worth the effort of fitting. R. |

Graeme. My HIF44 is on a Minisport manifold on my 1098 engine which has a shorter block than a 1275 and I had to have it chamfered at the head end to make it "lean back" enough to clear the bonnet. Bernie. |

The chap on ebay regularly sells refurb Titans and also builds them up into complete kits with refurb HIF44. |
