MG Midget and Sprite Technical - My Midget Zetec & Type 9
As per the title, I am part way through installing a 2.0 blacktop Zetec & type 9 gearbox in to my 1972 midget. Is there any one here that has done this before as I have a few questions with the gearbox bell housing clearance and clutch operation. Many Thanks |

yes, there are some who have done this. Check out www.kmidget.com (not just K's!) and there's a twin cam Midgets and Bs Facebook Group as well. I'll flag this thread over there too :) |

Yes.... I'm not on here very often any more - There's a reqlly friendly K Series Facebook group that likes (to poke fun at) Zetecs :D Ask away - response may be faster in the facebook group. |

Looks a nice project Darren who arranges the New Years bridges run has a 2 litre with 6 speed sequential gearbox. He pops in now and again |

Burton concentric clutch release bearing will fit with a lot less aggro than any number of DIY solutions. |

But the TITAN(Burton) CSC is expensive compared to other CSCs. It's good, but I think I'd have used a Ford csc if I'd known more at the time. |

Have fitted a 170bhp zetec and type 9 using the Burton concentric clutch cylinder, as we already do on our zetec Minor conversions

We use the Raceline sump, which is flush with the bottom of the chassis legs, giving excellent ground clearance. Pic shows mock up of engine mount. Very little modification to the chassis and body is required. Fitting throttle bodies gives greater choice of engine position. Type 9 is modified as per K series with shortened remote.
