should be fine 'minor cracking and ageing of bushes' - advisory |

That castle nut looks fine and healthy to me. Just make sure the cotter pin has a good bend in its split Prop |

I think, depending on the MoT tester as it's subjective, that's at least an advisory I'd go for it, if everything else around it is fine, as it could remain an advisory for who knows how long but bear in mind an MoT just states that your car met a minimum required standard as assessed by a qualify person at that particular time of inspection and not that it's at its best potential for fun driving, it'd go on my list of things to be done but it wouldn't stop me driving the car but if that's how it goes whilst stored it probably won't improve when actually used |

reckon you'll be ok with that. . . |
P Bentley |
you'll be right. mine have been like that for a bit now.. |

Fail in Holland No split pin to secure the castellated nut..... The bush won't be a fail unless the play can be felt by hand. But it is one of the reasons I try to avoid using any rubber products in my midget. Silicone for the hoses and polyurethane for the bushes |

Good spot Onno split pin in now, think i will go down the poly bush root later in the year |

a vote here for Super-Flex over the yellow urethane ones - but there's loads of suggestions and recommendations in the Archives to be fair didn't Prop mention the split pin earlier on my monitor it looks like half of it might be there |

I got these cheap at a car boot not sure everything is there should they have some sort of metal insert.

the yellow ones I had were from MGOC Spares and did used to come in smaller kits like that - that's not to say your yellow ones are the MGOC Spares made ones - no metal insets with those, but don't trust my eyes, this has come up before with photos so will be in the Archive along with fitting advice |

to be fair didn't Prop mention the split pin earlier Actually ... I thought only the castle nut was passable... so I just mentioned the cotter pin in passing and figured it had rusted away into dust Tbh... im surprised that the rusted out lever arm didnt get any mention from the BBS....it looks like it would snap on its 3rd bounce. Haha... sorry to be rude, I just think theres to much rust on key parts to be considard safe over the next 24 months.... but I am almost 50... sssooooooo! Prop |

Mark, sorry I didn't make my last post very clear (unusual for me to do that) no I don't think the bushes in the photo should have inserts but I'm often wrong so do check, similar with photos has come up before fairly recently so check the Archive if no one here confirms what I've put, or repudiates it Prop, isn't it about time you stopped using that mobile device and viewed photos on a larger screen - you're 50 now remember |

The ones in the picture are for rear shackles. No metal insert needed but totally no use for your front upper trunnion. The MGOC ones seem to be poorly made, reminding me of swiss cheese due to the air pockets in them, which can't be good. They are also appreciably harder which most people do not want. The ones sold by Moss are both made with superior techniques and do not add harshness to your ride, they also come with assembly lube and, if needed, stainless spacer tubes. Well worth the money, they'll outlive your car. |

your correct on close inspection part marked aha7182 which are rear shackle never looked closely at them before only paid a couple of pounds for them . |
