MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Nylatron bushes for the road?
Anyone using nylatron bushes in a road car? Interested in your thoughts concerning wear and ride quality. Do they need more service care then polybushes? Are they much more harsher then poly? Especially if fitted to the the rear springs. Thanks Andy |

have them in the front they supply them with a lubricant to use during assembly no problems fitting them* and don't seem over harsh but they haven't done a year yet, so nowt to compare with as yet * had plenty of problems getting the old rusted sleeved rubber ones off though |

I've got them fitted all round; had them in about 3 years (c.10,000mls) and they are much abused over rough ground, speed humps and occasional track days. Makes the ride a little more harsh than the rubber but does make it feel a lot more tight when driving in a "spirited" way :o) Like most upgrades, there is a trade off but as my midget isn't my daily drive I can put up with the harsher ride for the improved response. Also seems to transmit a little more diff noise through the car but I'm not convinced this would be much better with polybushes. |

I have them in the front A arms and upper trunions and as already mentioned, they are a bit more harsh than other types but not excessive. I've had them in the car for almost 10 years now without any problem. |

Like the Bills, I've got them on the front, makes everything nice and tight. Not sure about the lube that Bill (sdgpm) mentions, I put them in dry. They've been in for ages, but low mileage, so not sure what the long term effects are. M |
