MG Midget and Sprite Technical - OK brand engine pistons
Anybody ever use this brand of pistons? I've never heard of them. I'm going to need a set of pistons and I just wondering if anyone knows the quality of these. http://tinyurl.com/42sn89w |

They look like sh#t Well not that but very old design. No use in a midget and there are plenty of good cheap pistons around |

I didn't get these. I got this set of NOS AE/covmo pistons instead.

What kind of lorry are those from? Lots of oil control there, but I don't think they can make some revs with all that friction. However I do think they will last forever in a standard engine. |

These are what were in the 948 engines when new. I believe the 1098 as well. I'm putting these in my MKI project that will not be driven all that much anyway, I have my '73 for that so I'm not concerned about high revs just normal driving. |

Aha. I've never worked on the smaller engines, so I had never seen those. |

The post above... "I didn't get these. I got this set of NOS AE/covmo pistons instead."... What I meant to say was... "I didn't get the OK brand pistons. I got this set of NOS AE/covmo pistons instead." |

Yeah, lots of friction. But, as you said, they should last an extremely long time! :) |
Jon Saylor |
Yeah but you can buy a set of good cheapish smallbore pistons from the likes of minispares that will most likely cut the friction in half! Even my prewar project will get more modern pistons than that... |
