MG Midget and Sprite Technical - other engine G Box Choices
| Hi All Curious to know what other choices for engine people out there may have considered along with the K series, its only a question which i guess revolves around what fits, but anyone looked at a Vauxhall red top, S2000 unit, Mazda MX5. . . . any takers ?? |

| Look around most have been done or are in the process of being done. Even a V8 or a V6 is not "original" ;) |

| An S2000 engine and running gear has been done. There was a midget up for sale on Pistonheads not long ago with the S2000 gear. And one based on an M3 straight 6. Both looked pretty dodgey in all their flared wheel arched glory! Malcolm |

| I once drove a Hillclimb Spridget with a well developed 1900cc Ford Crossflow with a Ford Bullet gearbox at Wiscombe - If the chassis had been half as well developed that car would have been unbeatable.. As it was I gained the distinct impression it was trying to kill me... In the USA they have done lots of conversions of this type - the most interesting in my view revolve around Mazda rotary engines (remember a 1.3 Mazda rotary won Le Mans one year...) | James do you remember who raced a modsports car with a 13B rotary unit way back, could have been late 80s? Came from oop north, Lancs I think? |

| The S2000 must be an interesting one - pretty sure the engine turns the wrong way. Presume the back axle needs to be flipped. The alfa makes a sweet looking option and there are loads of T-Sparks available at present. |
