MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Paint Code
I've got a black 1977 midget. Where do I find the paint code? There's a plate under the bonnet at the front which has the following 10R 126 11R 0016 12R 0016 15R The plate is damaged but I'm fairly sure that's what it says. Any help would be appreciated. |

I don't know how accurate this is but I'm sure it's been used before - http://www.teglerizer.com/mgcolors/ |

The website tells you what codes correspond to what colour but not where to find them. It's an American site so i don't know if they put their codes somewhere different. |

sorry that's all I know and Terry Horler's book on page 137 shows BLVC23 - http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=RQK6R2Y3SZ8C&printsec=frontcover&dq=Original+sprite+and+Midget&hl=en&ei=keiZTqSYN46v8QPrv8HoBQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CDcQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=false |

The Guide to Purchase and DIY Restoration of the MG Midget & Austin Healey Sprite by Lindsay Porter states MG Midget Colour Black Factory Code BK1 |
Ray Rowsell |
BK1 makes some sense as I've seen reference to that elsewhere. You'd think black would be black!! Many thanks for the help |
